Television is changing. The best shows aren’t on cable anymore, they’re on your phone, in your feed, in your group chat. A new generation of studios is being built right now to make that content, and American Picture Company is one of them.
We’re a short-form content studio in Manhattan making original comedy series and branded content for some of the most interesting companies in the world. Our flagship series, The Ick, has built a passionate audience and is growing into a full media brand. We work fast, we make things we’re proud of, and we’re just getting started.
We’re looking for the person who keeps it all moving.
The Role
This is the role that makes everyone else better at their jobs. You’ll be the connective tissue of the company, making sure shoots are staffed, content gets posted, clients are followed up with, and nothing falls through the cracks. You’ll work directly with the founders, go on shoots, meet clients, and be in the room where things get made.
This isn’t a job where you watch from the sidelines. You’ll be inside the machine from day one, building the systems that help this company scale into something significant.
What You’ll Do
- Manage day-to-day operations across APC and The Ick
- Own The Ick’s social posting schedule and content calendar
- Coordinate production logistics, contractors, shoot days, deliverables
- Keep the team organized and on deadline
- Be a point of contact for clients and collaborators
- Build systems and processes that make the company more efficient
- Show up, follow through, and figure things out

Compensation
$54,000/yr + Bonus on company performance
